چکیده
Paranoia depicts a belief of others having harmful intent. Research using economic games has exhibited the correlation between paranoia and propensity to characterize ambiguous intentions as harmful. Using non-clinical sample recruited online from United States ( N =290), we examined whether paranoid thoughts influence aggressive behavior against subjective perception We conducted preemptive strike game wherein was assumed be guided by fear an opponent. The outcomes indicate that (1) individuals with high assume intent opponent more than those low (2) conjecturing opponent’s predicted increase in probability strike, (3) did not have statistically significant effect on encouraging strike. Additionally, exploratory analysis revealed related participant’s aggressiveness suppositions other’s self-interests competitiveness. This study presents empirical evidence is social threats uncertain situation. discuss possibility ideation can promote or inhibit

Damage to Ventromedial Prefrontal Cortex Impairs Judgment of Harmful Intent
Moral judgments, whether delivered in ordinary experience or in the courtroom, depend on our ability to infer intentions. We forgive unintentional or accidental harms and condemn failed attempts to harm. Prior work demonstrates that patients with damage to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VMPC) deliver abnormal judgments in response to moral dilemmas and that these patients are especially im...

We predicted that, as a direct result, VMPC p...
